Aesthetic Regio is a project investigating the new car design method and how morphogenetic and biomimicry forms fusion into the design and study the best lines and shapes from their originality. Eventually, to achieve its function and enhance to its advanced level. This artwork arouses an essential question for all artists and designers. “Where do shapes come from?” To extend this question into further discussion, what are the processes that lead to their formation? How can we see them concerning other sorts of ideas going simultaneously, and particularly how can we understand the dynamics between different aspects of emerging technologies?
Morphogenetic Design Morphogenetic design is a concept of the generation of forms based on the biological process of the growth of cells and tissue, developing its shape. For example, a rebel cell in one’s body developed from and grew into a cancer tissue, and thus, it is visible in the doctor’s eye to diagnose. This design may bring the car aerodynamic, fluid dynamic and speed to the next level. This structure may combine with the newest carbon fibre with greater strength and lighter in weight than aluminium. Applying this morphogenetic design and arrangement reference from the Shark scales on its skin to the car body may be possible and thus create a new texture. Parametric Design Under the concept of biomimicry forms fusion into this surface design of the car,I developed a new material for the car surface and with new arrangements on the material too. This will greatly enhance the speed of the car and also in respect of the efficiency of the energy used on the car. It is both referenced to the natural biomimicry design and the arrangements of the skin of the creature and it will react with the flow of the environment in order to self-tune into the best aero and fluid dynamic while it is moving and accelerating.
